How to distinguish the quality of solar lights good or bad?

Now many people like to buy solar-powered lights for lighting or decoration on roads, squares, parks, and other places, which are not costly and very easy to install, no wiring is required, install a few screws and fix it. However, in the market of solar-powered lights in a variety of ways, some look exactly the same, but the price is very different, which is why? How can we distinguish between good and bad-quality solar lights? In my opinion, there are about three aspects that determine the good or bad of solar-powered lights.


1. Charging capacity

The size of the photovoltaic panel is directly related to the ability to charge, the size of the photovoltaic panel is about the power of the photovoltaic panel, which is equal to the efficiency of the photovoltaic panel and the area of the photovoltaic panel multiplied, that is, the size of the photovoltaic panel is only one aspect, the efficiency is not high, or the silicon wafer has a dead chip is also meaningless. The current market efficiency of photovoltaic panels from 120W-180W per square is available, some manufacturers choose the B-class silicon wafer package, low efficiency, although the photovoltaic panels look large, the actual output is not high.

2. The ability to store electricity

The only indicator of the storage capacity is the battery, this is also the industry's deepest hidden rule, because the appearance of the same, the capacity is completely different, and the average consumer can not test the battery capacity. On the current solar lights using batteries, to determine the good or bad is divided into the following points:

(1) The actual capacity of the capacitor.

Perhaps you see the battery such as the 32650 logo is 5AH a section, but from the results of random checks on the market, the actual capacity of the battery ranges from 3AH to 5AH. A lot of it is shoddy to fake the good, which can not reach the effect of theoretical design. That is why many lights are not bright after two or three hours, or they’re full after three or four hours of charging, which is caused by the lack of capacity.

(2) Internal resistance.

A solar cell is a battery pack composed of multiple cells, and the resistors are usually connected in parallel. If the internal resistance between each battery is not the same at this time, it will form an internal cycle and consume capacity, one is to lead to insufficient output, and the other is to seriously affect the life of the battery. In other words, a good battery, if not strictly sub-volume assembly, will also become "Too many cooks spoil the broth" results.

(3) Battery protection.

In order to save costs, many batteries of solar-powered lights are not equipped with protection plates for protecting charge and discharge, which is extremely easy to overcharge or over-discharge, and finally, the battery into a dead state, and can not work. This is also an important reason why many lights cannot be charged even if they are not used for a long time.

3. The waterproof structure technology of the light

Solar-powered lights are one kind of outdoor light, in the sun and rain environment, the waterproof and moisture-proof technology of the lights is very important. In terms of the current solar lights manufacturers, the level of them varies, many manufacturers do not have the production experience and production capacity of outdoor solar lights. Without good waterproof protection, the lights on a rainy day are prone to water, resulting in the components inside being broken.

More important is moisture-proof, many manufacturers do not care, but they do not know that in a humid environment, the components will rust, or outdoor mosquitoes enter into the interior of the lights and secrete substances in the lights, will directly corrode the internal components such as control panel or PCB, and ultimately lead to the lights can not work normally.
