Meanwhile, in China's Gobi Desert in Gansu Province, the "Solar Thermal + Photovoltaic" hybrid project has finished. This 15 km² project combines solar thermal technology with photovoltaic panels to ensure continuous, reliable power. It will produce 1.7 billion kWh
annually, enough for 570,000 households.
